About Pam Foss

I am a self-taught, self-motivated and deeply passionate artist.  I have been developing  my craft for more than forty years  in my quest to capture the essence of movement and form.  I hope that you will find in my sculpture  fluid, rhythmic, and lyrical qualities. T

Contained within my body of work is perhaps one of the more diverse collections of  sculpture  created by any  artist.

As much as I enjoy creating sculpture, there are few joys in life can compare to that moment when I observe  people emotionally responding to my work.  It is that reaction that informs the intentions and spirit of my art.

Abstract Sculpture

Where you will discover some of my most intriguing, mysterious, poetic forms & textures

I love the challenge of creating sculpture inspired purely from my imagination.  Abstractions depicting the natural world such as Purple Rain or Out of the Blue or some deep inner emotions as my latest post-covid work ,

A New Day.

Figure Art

Bronze, Wood, Paper, Styrofoam and Resin figure sculpture

My love of the animal kingdom has always played a major role when it comes to choosing subject matter  for my sculpture.  I am in awe of every form of life on this planet from microscopic organisms to gigantic animals of land and sea.

Capturing and conveying what I see as the essence of these amazing animals is what defines my work.

horse sculptures for sale

My love of horses led me to sculpt these magnificent animals because they are beautiful, muscular, powerful - all qualities that I desired in my equine art. I had seen horses as a child, but I didn't know start riding until I was in my early 20's and started participating in hunter/jumper event. I loved competing, watching the other horses run - their power, beauty and grace moving against the background of green grass.

Equine Art

Contemporary Equine art, Equine Sculpture

As an avid and accomplished rider, horses have been an important part of my experience for many years, and their appeal to the sculptor ought to be immediately clear. With my instruments, I aimed to bring to life the power, the grace, and the immense beauty of these animals.

Gallery In A Box

As one lowers the walls of this Gallery in a Box you will see art history unfold before your eyes as this "box" contains a miniature reproduction of  Peggy Guggenheim's iconic Art of This Century Gallery.

I created my pair of Gallery in a Box "objects" to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of Peggy Guggenheim's Art of This Century Gallery in New York.  The Gallery, which became a cornerstone of Modern Art in America opened with a show of objects by Marcel Duchamp, Joseph Cornell, and  Lawrence Vail.
